Roper Mountain Holiday LightsWhere: Roper Mountain Science Center from Nov 23 – Dec 30 Roper Mountain Science Center lights up this holiday season. Roper Mountain Holiday Lights features lighted walking trails, Santa Claus, a balloon artist, concessions, giant holiday greeting cards created by local area students, and 1.5 mile drive through the large displays including Candy Cane Lane, Santa’s Sleigh, the Caterpillar, and many other family favorites. Holiday Lights is open nightly 6-10 pm. |
United Community Bank Ice on MainWhere: downtown Greenville from Nov 24 – Jan 15 Lace up those skates and get the good times gliding with the family. Wind around the rink and have fun! Ice on the main is open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 am – 10 pm. $10/person, which includes skate rental. |
TreesGreenville Turkey Day 8k & 5kWhere: 509 S. Main St. Greenville SC on Nov 23 This is probably the only race in Greenville where participants are encouraged to deck out in crazy outfits! The Children’s Museum of the UpstateWhere: The Children’s Museum of the Upstate on Nov 24 Children can enjoy a miniature holiday village, a chance to write and send letters to Santa, a lineup of holiday movie classics to watch, and a train table. This exhibit features a dollhouse replica of Greenville’s historical Lanneau-Norwood Funderburk home as its centerpiece. |

Watch a Drive-in MovieWhere: Denver Downs Farm on Nov 24 Come and watch The Polar Express at Denver Downs Farm. This year’s showings are planned for Nov 24 & Dec 16. Gates open at 5:30 pm and the movie begins at 7 pm. $25 per car of 4 or less, and additional $5 per person over 4 in the car. |
