Where to Find Pokéstops and Gyms in Greenville SC?
Barely two weeks since the release of the augmented reality game Pokémon Go, the game has taken the country by storm. The Pokémon Go phenomenon has brought people together and become such as household name, it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.
Pokémon Go is now invading a handful of places including Greenville. The game’s designated landmarks and other public sites where players can get a number of items (known as pokestops) and battle in gyms has made avid gamers going out of their homes. Greenville is big enough and there’s no shortage of places to catch your favorite pokemons. However, some places have fewer pokestops and gyms than others. So for those who want to catch ‘em all, we’ve put a list of gyms and pokestops you should hit. And please remember, play safely.
Bob Jones University

It’s not surprising to find pokestops and gyms in this university. You might also spot rare pokemons here.
Falls Park
601 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601
This is probably one of the hot spots for gym battles in downtown Greenville. There’s plenty of open space so you’re almost guaranteed to bump into other Pokemon Go players.
USPS
100 Orchard Park Dr, Greenville, SC 29616
A tipster tells us that there’s a gym at USPS on Orchard Park. There are also nearby pokestops. So go forth and attempt to master the gym and collect as many items as you can.
Roper Mountain Science Center
402 Roper Mountain Road, Greenville, SC 29615
If you ever find yourself in Roper Mountain Science Center, it will be a delight to find several gyms and lots of pokestop. Be cautioned though, the place is under the supervision of Greenville School County and they are restricting people only wandering around to play.
Papa’s and Beer
317 Haywood Rd, Greenville, SC 29607
Papa’s and Beer is one of the lucky businesses on Haywood to benefit from the game. A tipster says there’s a gym in there. And while you battle to depend your team, you might as well order a taco.
Legacy Park
336 Rocky Slope Rd, Greenville, SC 29607
There’s a gym located by the pond/fountain so there are frequently crowds of gamers all clustered around it. Plus you’ll find 3 pokestops in the park.
Gassaway Mansion
106 Dupont Dr, Greenville, SC 29607
A tipster shared there’s gym in Gassaway Mansion.
Swamp Rabbit Trail
103 McDaniel Ave, Greenville, SC 29601
Unsurprisingly, these little critters have also invaded the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Get your bike and head out, who knows you might find a rare pokemon.
Downtown Greenville
There are gyms, lures, and plenty of Pokemon and pokestops in downtown Greenville so expect to see dozens of Greenvillians doing the same thing you are.
Furman University
3300 Poinsett Hwy, Greenville, SC 29613
According to tipsters, Furman’s has many gyms and pokestops, Go by the lake and you are likely to spot Pikachu, Poliwag, and Psyduck in the wild here.
Timmons Park
121 Oxford St, Greenville, SC 29607
This city park has 4 pokestops so if you are running out of pokeballs, hit this place.
Conestee Park
840 S-23-107, Greenville, SC 29607
According to tipsters, Conestee Park is home to a gym. It’s also a good a good place to spot and catch little pokemons.
