Foodie Destination of the Week

The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the newest additions to Greenville’s gastronomic scene.

The Anchorage

Located in the growing Village of West Greenville art district, Anchorage just opened early this year. The Anchorage is the perfect spot for special occasions, quick dinner, or just a place to hang out. It’s quick, it’s casual, and the food is pretty good. Their menu is eclectic and changing so every visit is a discovery. The ambiance and service at The Anchorage make this a great place to enjoy a nice dinner with friends and family.

This place is a crowd-puller and they only take reservations in certain circumstances, so get here early if you don’t want to wait.

Address: The Village of West Greenville
586 Perry Avenue, Greenville, SC 29611
Phone: 864.219.3082
Hours: W-Th 5–9:30 pm, F-Sa 5 –10 pm, Sun 10 am – 3 pm
Price Range: $31-60

Explore!

We challenge you to get out on the trail this weekend, get the kids or your family member out on the trail! Paris Mountain State Park is hosting Creek Ranger Hike for Families.  This month through August on most Friday mornings at 10 a.m., participating families will be led on a nature hike and animal observation right from their habitat and in the lab. Part of the program will be spent in the creek using nets, so it’s advisable to bring water shoes. The program is $7.00 per person. Park admission is waived and registration required. To register, email to [email protected], or call the park office at 864-244-5565.

Part of preserving wilderness for future generations is teaching youth to appreciate and enjoy nature, this is a fun and great way for them to learn.

Come to Greer City Park and enjoy free movies. Movies are scheduled for Thursday evenings through July 27 at dusk. Not only movies, there will be pre-show fun such as inflatables, crafts, games with prizes and dancing. Food and drink will be available for purchase from on-site vendors. Come early to save seats. The amphitheater is on a first-come, first served basis for all films.

ScanSource Reedy River Concerts is back, bring your lawn chairs and a picnic dinner. This free, outdoor family event provides the perfect way to relax on a warm summer night. Food trucks and vendors will be on-site every week. Concerts are from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesdays from June until August, at the TD Stage at the Peace Center Amphitheatre.

FREE SHOW & DANCING

If you love dancing, put your dancing shoes on and head to Mauldin Cultural Center’s outdoor amphitheater for evenings of shag dancing, food trucks, and craft beverages. Beachin’ Fridays is back this year bringing the beach music scene to Mauldin. All shows are FREE of charge and general admission. What Our Clients Are Saying…

"My husband and I met with Michael in mid-December, our house went on the market January 16th and was under contract January 19th. Michael and his team are amazing at what they do and did everything could to help us. We were out of our old house and in to the new one within a month of our house going under contract. I would highly recommend using the J. Michael Manley team for buying and/or selling. They made the hassle or buying and selling so easy and everything was very smooth."
