Was it only last spring when Forbes Magazine named Greenville as no.1 in The Best Cities for Jobs? Was it also last year when CNN Money named Greenville as one of the Fastest Growing U.S. Cities?
The accolades Greenville has received over the years can go on and on. This week, Greenville has yet again received recognition; it is named as one of the Best Towns by Outside Magazine.
There were more than 50 cities in the screening. Unemployment rate, income levels, livability, and active outdoor environment were determined to come up with the final list. Other cities that made it to the top ten along Greenville were Park City, Honolulu, Bozeman, Spokane, Carbondale, San Diego, Boston, Waitsfield, and Oklahoma City.
What has made Greenville into the top ten?
Greenville is a hub for outdoor recreation. Boasting many parks and greenways, it offers diverse outdoor opportunities such as hiking, biking, golf, boating, and spectator sports. Not only that, the city has a lot of events happening each year offering local and non-local the taste of Greenville’s distinct entertainment.
The growing number of dining options has also made this city a food town. There are a lot of restaurants you can find in the town as well as shopping centers. The low cost of living also contributes to Greenville’s appeal as well as the many business and job opportunities.
