Foodie Destination of the Week |
The restaurant scene in Greenville has exploded off the past decade with new restaurants springing up here and there. Downtown Greenville alone has brought an array of tasty cuisines to pick from which makes it a great place for anyone who wants to try different culinary experiences. This week, we’ll highlight one of the newest additions to Greenville’s gastronomic scene.
Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant
All the wonderful makings of a small family owned restaurant that will make you feel like you’ve magically transported into an Italian villa where people just want some authentic Italian food and be surrounded by good people. Giovanni’s is just that. When you take a step into this cozy, warm restaurant you will immediately feel the vibe.
Their menu offers a lot of options and is accompanied by some impressive daily specials. The owners go out of their way to provide great service. Food is prepared fresh, which allows time to relax and enjoy conversation with your dining companions. Once the food arrives, you won’t be disappointed as you enjoy the flavors of authentic Italian cuisine.
The restaurant is small, and when we say small it can be about 15-20 tables max so if you cannot wait to be seated arrive early to get a table. The food is worth the wait, we promise! Many locals says this place is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Greenville!

Did You Know? |
Monday, September 4, 2017, marks another US holiday – Labor Day! The holiday is the last blast of the summer vacation season and families around the country will surely be out celebrating the holiday with outdoor picnics, barbecues, road trips, and other fun activities.
But when did Labor Day begin? The modern holiday is widely traced back to an organized parade in New York City on Sept. 5, 1882. Since then, holding annual festivities to celebrate workers spread across the country, but it wasn’t until 1896 that Labor Day become a national holiday.
Labor Day Weekend may signal the end of summer, but not the end of the fun in greater Greenville and the Upstate! This Labor Day Weekend, check out the annual Bacon Labor Day in Trailblazer Park, arts and craft fairs, and so much more. Spend your extra day off by celebrating in style at one of the many iconic events in the Upstate.
