In Greenville SC you don’t have to spend a cent to listen to good music as free music events abound in downtown Greenville especially this time until summer.
Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive will kick off on Thursday Mar 19th at NOMA Square on Main Street and will continue for 24 weeks until August 27, 2015. Downtown Greenville will come alive with live musical entertainment from different performers each week. Some of the featured artists include The Shack Band, Dangermuffin, Benton Blount, Retro Vertigo, The Sound Committee and The Swingin’ Richards.
Enjoy live music from rock, blues to funk music. NOMA Square on Main Street serves as the perfect location to this free event series where people can unwind and enjoy an outdoor street party. The event starts at 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
The event series is the single largest fundraiser for the Metropolitan Arts Council, a local organization providing support and opportunities for artists, arts organizations, art educators and enthusiast throughout Greenville County.
Another event series to liven up your Friday nights is the Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays which will start on Friday, March 20 at NOMA Square. This event will last 28 weeks, from March 20 to Sept. 25, 2015. Tag the family along as this is a family-friendly event, not only the family will enjoy jazz, blues and beach music, the kids will love the Century BMW Kid’s Zone that features inflatables and art and crafts activities.
Some of the artists to watch out on Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays are Hot as a Pepper, Wanda Johnson, 5th and York, Mac Arnold and Plate Full O’Blues and Southern Crescent.
